[OUTLOOK] - Email Automatically Moved to Deleted Items

Summary

Possible reasons why an email suddenly disappears from the mailbox

Possible Causes: 

  • Email rules (check OWA as it should have all rules) 
  • If not rules, check user's devices (ie. Phone) 
  • User has previously ignored the conversation 
  • Conversation has the option to "Move Conversation" enabled 
  • Right-click conversation > Move > Disable Always Move Conversation 

 

 

To un-ignore a conversation, go to Deleted Items and find the email 

Select the conversation 

Go to Home > Delete > click on Ignore 

Confirm taking the conversation off the Ignore list 

 

Note: When a conversation is Ignored, it also follows terms, not just specific email addresses .
